A: General contractors are required to be licensed in all localities where they work and carry enough bonding and insurance per Oregon State requirements. (www.oregon.gov/CCB/about_us.shtml) In Oregon, a general contractor must maintain a $15,000 bond and a general liability insurance coverage of $1,000,000. In addition, contractors with employees must maintain $500,000 of workers' compensation coverage and vehicle insurance. Fort Rock Construction, Inc. carries all required insurances with a general liability coverage of $2,000,000.
